About the Zendesk integration

The Zendesk integration opens a ticket when an agent on auto catches a high-severity finding. Connect with OAuth and your subdomain, and each ticket carries the detail, a link back and a growthmeteor tag. Priority is set to high when severity is high.

Key features

Opens a Zendesk ticket from a high-severity mention or alert

Ticket priority set to high when the alert crosses a severity threshold

Tagged growthmeteor and linked to the source conversation

Connect with OAuth and your Zendesk subdomain

Outbound only, GrowthMeteor never reads your tickets

Set up the Zendesk integration

  1. 1

    Enter your subdomain and authorize

Add your Zendesk subdomain, then connect GrowthMeteor via OAuth. Tokens refresh on their own.

  2. 2

    Confirm the destination

Tickets open in the connected Zendesk with a growthmeteor tag so you can filter them.

  3. 3

    Set the agent to auto

Raise the crisis or integrity agent to auto or auto-capped. On the default suggest setting, tickets wait for your approval first.

What you can do with it

Catch issues in public

A spike of frustration opens a ticket before a customer files one.

Prioritize by severity

Urgent issues open at high priority so they land on top.

An owner and an SLA

The problem in the open gets a ticket, an owner and a clock.

Filter the source

Every ticket is tagged growthmeteor and links to the post.

Zendesk integration questions, answered

How do I connect Zendesk?+

Enter your Zendesk subdomain, then authorize GrowthMeteor with OAuth. Tokens refresh automatically; GrowthMeteor flags it if a reconnect is needed.

How is ticket priority set?+

GrowthMeteor sets priority to high when the alert crosses a severity threshold, and normal otherwise, and tags the ticket so you can filter for them.

Is the Zendesk integration two-way?+

No. GrowthMeteor opens tickets in Zendesk; it does not read your tickets back. It is outbound only.

What triggers a Zendesk ticket?+

High-severity crisis and integrity alerts, once an agent is set to auto or auto-capped. On the default suggest setting nothing is opened until you approve it.
