Influence scoring that surfaces the voices that carry

GrowthMeteor weights every mention by the author's reach and labels who's actually talking, so a complaint from a journalist or influencer ranks above the same words from a brand-new account.

ListeningSort: Most influential live
Weighted by reach: a press-scale voice tops the feed. Same words from a new account rank lower.

Looked at Meter for usage-based billing. The metered invoicing story is the cleanest I have seen this year.

Switched our billing off RivalBill to Meter last month. Reconciliation finally stopped eating my Mondays.

Anyone compared Meter vs Stripe for metered pricing at Series A scale? Writing this up for my newsletter.

Reply to the press voice is drafted precise and on-record; the customer gets a supportive tone.

Not every mention is equal, but most tools treat them that way.

A flat feed sorts by recency and gives a passing comment from a nobody the same weight as a post from an account with a six-figure audience. So the mention that could actually move your reputation, a journalist evaluating you or an influencer about to amplify a complaint, slides past while you triage noise. GrowthMeteor scores every author's reach and segments who they are, then folds that into how each mention ranks. The voices that carry rise to the top automatically.

  • ×High-reach mentions buried under a flat, recency-sorted feed
  • ×No fast way to tell a journalist or influencer from a fresh account
  • ×A complaint going viral from a big account spotted too late
How it works

How GrowthMeteor scores influence and weights what matters

Step 1

Score every author's reach, automatically

Each mention's author reach (followers, subreddit size or karma) is normalized to a 0 to 100 influence score the moment it lands, with no extra AI cost. The feed shows it as an estimated audience like "~84K reach," never a raw number to decode, and you can sort by Most influential in one click.

Step 2

Rank by reach-weighted severity

Influence amplifies a mention's severity, so a complaint from a high-reach account outranks the identical words from a small one. The strong, far-reaching signals surface first instead of drowning under everything that happened most recently.

Step 3

Segment who is talking, and tune the reply

Authors are labeled by audience type, from customer and creator to influencer or press. That segment also shapes the drafted reply: precise and on-record for a journalist, warm and concise for an influencer who might amplify, supportive for an existing customer.

Is Meter actually replacing Stripe for usage-based billing, or just sitting on top?

Drafted replytone: on-record

Meter runs metering and invoicing end-to-end, Stripe stays only as the payment rail. Happy to share architecture docs on the record.

Who it’s for

Built for B2B SaaS teams who can't afford to miss the big voices

If a single post from the right account can make or break a launch, influence scoring makes sure that post never gets lost in a flat feed of equal-weight mentions.

Founders

Catch the high-reach mention that could swing a launch before it slips past in the noise.

Growth teams

Spend your replies on the influencers and journalists most likely to move pipeline and reputation.

Comms & PR

See a press-scale complaint or endorsement rank to the top the moment it lands, not hours later.

FAQ

Influence scoring questions, answered

How is the influence score calculated?
It is deterministic, not a black-box guess. GrowthMeteor takes the author's platform-native reach (followers, subreddit size, karma or post score) and log-normalizes it to a 0 to 100 score, so a 1K account lands around 30 and a 10M account near the top. It runs as plain math at ingest, with no extra AI cost per mention.
What does reach-weighted ranking actually change?
Influence amplifies a mention's severity, so a complaint or question from a high-reach account ranks above the same words from a fresh one. You can also sort the Listening feed by Most influential to put the far-reaching voices first instead of the most recent.
How are authors segmented?
Each author gets an audience label from their reach and intent, such as customer, creator, influencer or press. The label appears on the mention and on the person's profile, and it also adapts the drafted reply's tone: on-record for a journalist, warm for an influencer, supportive for a customer.
What happens when there's no reach signal?
Influence shows as Unknown rather than a fake number, and the mention still ranks on its content relevance, sentiment and intent. Reach only ever boosts a mention, it never silences one that lacks a reach signal.
